Caleb Holcomb Goshen, IN, Death & Obituary: 2024 graduate of NorthWood High School Has Died at age 19

Caleb Edward Holcomb, born on June 10, 2005, in Indianapolis, Indiana, tragically passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Monday, September 30, 2024, at the age of 19. Caleb, the beloved son of Mark and Suzanne Holcomb (née Moudy), was a cherished brother to Ridge Holcomb, all of Goshen, IN. His passing has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.

A Bright Future in the Medical Field

A 2024 graduate of NorthWood High School, Caleb had just begun pursuing his passion for the medical field by enrolling at Ivy Tech. Alongside his studies, he worked at Martin’s Supermarket in Nappanee as a bag boy, demonstrating his hard work and ambition. His dedication to his future career was evident, and he was determined to make a difference in the medical field.

Personal Interests and Passions

Caleb had a wide range of interests that reflected his joyful and curious nature. He was a 10-year member of the Poultry Club through the 4-H program and eagerly looked forward to attending the Elkhart County 4-H Fair each year, where his love for the community and its events truly shone.

An outdoor enthusiast, Caleb enjoyed fly fishing and treasured moments spent with his family at their cottage on Thompson Lake in Sturgis, Michigan. His love of nature was complemented by his passion for movies, and he was a dedicated fan of the Chicago Cubs. Caleb’s playful spirit was evident in his Funko Pop collection, showcasing his love for pop culture.

Survived By

Caleb is survived by his parents, Mark and Suzanne Holcomb, and his brother, Ridge Holcomb, all of Goshen, IN. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Dwight and Linda Moudy, and his uncle, Jim Moudy (Brittney) of Bourbon, IN. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Tanya Holcomb.

Memorial Services

Visitation for Caleb will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 4-6 PM at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home in Nappanee, IN. A memorial service will follow at 6 PM, officiated by Pastor Ed Geleske. In honor of Caleb’s love for the outdoors, friends and family are encouraged to wear boots and jeans to reflect his down-to-earth and authentic spirit.
