The tragic accident happened on September 14, and despite the medical efforts and Charlene’s own resilience, she succumbed to her injuries peacefully at 10:33 p.m. on Sunday.
In response to this devastating loss, a GoFundMe campaign organized by family friend Adner Marcelin has raised $14,227 of the $25,000 goal to assist the Howard family during this challenging time. Marcelin’s heartfelt message to the community reads: “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Charlene Howard… Surrounded by her family and close loved ones, Charlene passed in peace and love.” This statement was shared with permission from Charlene’s mother, Hyacinth Archibold.
Charlene Howard was a beacon of dedication and service in the Tallahassee area. She held significant roles such as Program Director at Florida State University and Internship Coordinator at Florida A&M University. Additionally, she was an active member of the Zeta Phi Beta fraternity and pursued studies at several prestigious institutions, including Regent University, Certified Life Coach Institute, Florida State University, and Florida A&M University. Her educational journey also included Metaphysics University and Penn Foster. Originally from Miami, she attended Dr. Michael M. Krop before making Tallahassee her home.
Charlene’s impact on her students, colleagues, and the community was profound, marked by her commitment to education and mentoring. Her legacy of service, passion for learning, and love for others will continue to inspire those who knew her.
