Born on June 18, 1996, in Henderson, Kentucky, to Curtis and Karen Skinner, Ethan was a passionate, adventurous, and loving individual who touched the lives of all who knew him.

Ethan had an undeniable zest for life. He embraced the outdoors, enjoying activities such as hiking, camping, rock climbing, and snowboarding. His adventurous spirit was balanced with a love for Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which combined physical skill with mental discipline. His joy for life was contagious, and those who knew him cherished the time they spent together.
Music and Faith
Ethan was not only physically talented but also musically gifted. He was proficient in vocals, piano, guitar, and trumpet, and he used these gifts to serve others, particularly in worship. His faith was central to his life, and through music, he inspired many in their spiritual journeys.

Ethan graduated from Evansville North High School in 2015, where he was an active member of the North Green Brigade marching band. He later attended Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, graduating in 2018. Recently, he had achieved his State Farm agent license, marking the start of what would have been a successful career.

Family and Loved Ones
Ethan was deeply devoted to his family, especially to his wife of three years, Riley (Hanagan) Skinner. He cherished his relationships with his parents, Curtis and Karen, his sister Dylan Wathen, her husband Ryan, and their children Audrey and Theodore “Teddy.” He also shared a close bond with his grandparents John, Lynn, and Mary Skinner, and Melissa Stengell, along with his parents-in-law Thomas and Tiffini Hanagan.
Funeral Arrangements
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville, Indiana. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends and family can visit starting at 11:00 a.m. A live stream of the service will be available for those unable to attend.
