Philadelphia Tragedy: A 24-year-old father was tragically shot and killed on Wednesday evening while sitting with his 1-year-old son outside their home in the Kensington neighborhood. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 3200 block of D Street, leaving the community shaken.

The young father was sitting on his front steps when two assailants opened fire, reportedly discharging approximately 25 rounds. The victim was struck multiple times in the head and chest and was quickly transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Tragically, the man’s 1-year-old son, who was with him during the shooting, suffered graze wounds to his head and legs. Police believe the father may have been holding the child when the attack began. Fortunately, the child was taken to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
